This Carnival is celebrated every two years in Riosucio, a town on the mountains of Caldas (Colombia). The festivity has two essential characteristics that make it different from the other festivities of this kind in the country: a ritualized cult to a good devil and a literary expression present in the carnival decrees, the feasts, the cuadrillas, the greetings and the farewells of the devil.
